Class Information

AED class placement is based on age and ability. If a dancer has been training for years, they are likely not at the same skill level as their same-aged brand new dancer! For that reason, we have a number of different classes to choose from for all age levels and all placement is subject to change by teacher recommendation. Dec 1 is our Birthday cut off.  (meaning a child must turn the age of the class by Dec 1 in order to enroll without special permission.)
Dancers progress through classes when they demonstrate specific skills and have attended class regularly. We offer classes ranging from Tiny Tots Dance, to Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jazz , Tap, and Musical Theater.

For current dancers re-enrolling for fall classes, class recommendations have been made. 
Here is how to get to the recommended list of classes from the DSP parent portal:

1. Under "Account", tag "Register for Classes"
2. then tag "School Year 2022/23"... and you should see the recommended classes!
The classes in Green are recommended for your child.
The other classes are for other students of the same age but at a different place in their dance journey.

YOUNGSTERS

Advanced Contemporary: (instructor permission)

​Contemporary
A different style than ballet, (often thought of as more free form,) true Contemporary is none the less rigorous, demanding, and very exacting. Ballet training helps tremendously with this form of dance.
JAZZ
Beg Jazz- Ages 10-12
Int Jazz- Ages 13-15

MUSICAL THEATER
Beg Musical Theater Ages 6-7
Int Musical Theater Ages 8-9
Come and join us  for  fun classes combining theater games and  choreography from timeless shows.  Constructive and positive critiquing will help each participant grow as we explore the magical world of theater. Remember, "All the world's a stage," so let the show begin!
