Hair/Dance Shoes for Nutcracker
Ballet:

• Ballet Buns (flat against the head like a cinnamon bun - not a “door handle” sticking off the head!)
  • Start with hair that is either wet or not been washed that day
  • Add dippity doo or gel or foam
  • Fix ponytail slightly below the apex of the dead (slightly up from center)
  • Break ponytail into even parts and wrap each part flat against the head, securing with a hairpin (like a snail or cinnamon roll)
  • Complete until all hair is secured flat
  • Wrap hair net around bun and secure with hairpin
  • Bobby pin whisps (flat edge of bobby pin up, so the bumpy edge can secure in the hair)
  • Spray, spray, spray! (hair should look almost shiny or wet!)
• Ballet pink tights (no runs or smudges)
• Ballet flats

Jazz/Musical Theater

• High ponytail (slicked back) 
• Chinese Tea - Ballet Bun
• Nude dance tights (do not use nylons from the store)
• Black jazz shoes

Hip Hop:

• High ponytail (slicked back)
• Clean indoor sneakers
  
  

Contemporary:

• Half up half down (slicked back - no face framing pieces)
• Foot undeez or hermes sandals


• Rockettes: Hair in low bun, (no whispies,) nude/lt suntan tights, tan character shoes- make sure the bottom is scuffed up please!, ??
• Zat You Santa Claus?: Hair in pony tail, nude/light suntan tights, black jazz shoes
