Dance wear does make a difference while taking classes whether for safety reasons or to help students recognize the difference between recess and dance class! For ballet especially there is a very helpful change of mindset when a dancer dons a leotard and tights or a tunic and leggings….thus we have these policies.
Ballet Class Leotards: If you have not purchased your class leotard yet please do not fret! We allow a few weeks for students to settle into their classes. As you read below you will get a larger picture of how we offer leotards for sale :) Returning Dancers: If you wish to sell your gently used clean leotards, please drop them through the mail slot in the studio front door, with an envelope attached. The envelope should have your name and the price you wish to sell the leotard for. We will have the rack containing leotards available for sale starting September 6. We do sell new leotards and tights at a reduced price at this link: AED Leotard Order Form We will be sending out a first leotard/tights order September 9, and a second September 16. You may order via email or on paper. Dancers who dance on Mondays may come in during the first opening week to order their leotards outside of class should they choose. We have a large stock of tights ready for sale. Should you wish to buy Body Wrapper Tights, (more expensive but longer lasting) we can order them for a discounted price! It's a personal choice…Body Wrapper tights last longer but if your child is prone to staining clothing, it's better to buy the less expensive Weissman ones. To be sure, no dance tights are built to withstand tree climbing :) Correct Footwear: is essential!
Hair Please pull off the face. Ballerinas must be in buns if the hair is long enough. (we have kits and can do it for the dancers if they come off the bus.) Dancewear for classes other than Ballet:
Happy beginning of school! We'll catch you after Labor Day Weekend!
